My Favorite Dining Spots in Red Hook
No need to rent a car, as so much is accessible from your condo. These are my recommendations for restaurants that are within a 10 minute walk. This is far from a comprehensive list. There are about 20 restaurants within this range!
Best sushi restaurant in St Thomas. Great Happy Hour specials, from 5 to 6 PM (8 piece rolls such as tuna and salmon are available during happy hour for $6 roll). Get there right at 5, because it fills up quickly!

This restaurant has great views of the marina and Vessup Bay. Pizza is excellent, as is the Greek salad. Prices are reasonable.

Great place to watch a live ball game. Lots of TVs everywhere. Steak is good. Prices are OK (not great). FYI, the owner is big Eagles fan.

The seafood is very good, and very nice views of the marina. Prices are reasonable by St Thomas standards. The tuna lettuce wraps are crazy good.

A favorite of locals. This fun, casual pub offers inexpensive drinks (beers start at $2 during Happy Hour, which lasts from 3 PM until 7 PM). Food is very basic and also inexpensive. Don't go there for dinner, but be prepared to have lots of fun!
A popular Mexican restaurant with a varied menu. I can't eat there because I'm on a salt restricted diet and I find that the food there is a bit salty, but a lot of my friends enjoy it.

This restaurant, located near the ferry, just opened in December 2022. Great ribeye steak, and a chiken lettuce wrap appetizer that is absolutely delicious. But then again I have a thing for lettuce wraps. Highly recommend it. Ask for Trevor. He is one of the owners, and a great guy. FYI.. he's a big Detroit Lions fan.

This is also one of the newer restaurants in Red Hook. They are situated directly above Hook'd. Very good seafood. The place always seems to be packed. Prices are on the high side

Sightseeing
The activities listed below are within a 10 minute walk from your condo. Additionally, you can take a safari dollar taxi (which is actually a bus service) all the way to Charlotte Amalie for $2 per person. The nearest pick up point for the dollar taxi is in front of the Agave Mexican Restaurant. Be mindful as these dollar taxis only run during daylight hours.
Excellent cruise boat operator that has been in business for over 40 years. 70% of their business is from repeat customers. They offer a variety of group and/or private day charters. The departure point for their cruises is American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook.

The Red Hook Ferry Terminal can be seen from your patio. It is directly below you, and takes about 10 minutes to walk there. Ferries to Cruz Bay in St John run hourly, starting at 6 AM. The trip to St John takes about 15 minutes. The last returning ferry is at 10 PM (please double check as schedules can change).
St John has world class beaches and fabulous hiking trails. Definitely worth a day trip! If you have a rental car, there is also a car ferry (I'm not familiar with the car ferry schedule, but you will see them from the patio. They run regularly throughout the day).

Beautiful white sandy beach with sapphire-blue water. This beach is two miles from your condo, or about a five minute taxi ride. Lots of taxis are available in Red Hook.
