Here is where the famous "ATX bats" live. There is a colony of bats that fly out every evening around sunset that you can stand on congress bridge and watch them migrate. It's kind of one of those "Austin things" that you do when you come visit. Highly recommended, just watch out for the bat guano...

This is a gorgeous lookout over all of Austin. It's a short casual walk up a 30 degree slope, so it's great for all ages, but the views are breath taking.
Please remember to bring a bag for trash or place them in the appropriate bin on the way leaving the park and take lots of photos along the way.
