Church Road, the main shopping area in central Hove.
It may not look like it but you are in Central “Hove Actually”, a phrase believed to have been coined by former local resident, the actor Lord Lawrence Olivier. Just one block back and parallel with the beach road, Kingsway you’ll find Church Road, full of local shops, bars and Michelin Star restaurants. For food supplies there’s also a Co-Op and a Tesco Superstore.

Have an Adventure
If you’re driving you’re in luck as the car park in the Marina is big and free for up to 4 hours. Otherwise most buses from Church road go into Brighton and you can pick up the No 7 bus from there down to the Marina. Take a boat trip for a fun day out. Sailing, jet ski’s and motorboats are all around you.

A wonderful day out for walkers. 10 days actually if you wanted to do the whole walk. Feel free to come and crash at ours after.
To travel along the shoreline you can take the No 700 Coastliner bus from right outside our building all the way to Portsmouth.

Sitting on the verandah sipping tea is a delight even in the rain. Sea views free of charge. Exceptional food! For lunch the Mushroom Duxelle was outstanding and I’m not even a big fan of mushrooms. Who knew?

Go West on On Church Road and cross over. This place is renowned for its phenomenal baked goods. I try to resist but then recall that Oscar Wilde said the only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. :)
