Shopping streets (Váci utca), Probably the most well known shopping street in Budapest is Vaci street the long and picturesque shopping street, which runs along the river Danube on the bustling Pest side of the city – no cars, pedestrians and shoppers only. But in recent years there were new shopping streets developing in Budapest, like a long stretch of Kiraly street (start from Deak square, look around the arcades and halls of Gozsdu udvar and go towards the Grand Boulevard), or Raday street where not only restaurants and cafes are mushrooming but tiny design boutiques too.

But in recent years there were new shopping streets developing in Budapest, like a long stretch of Kiraly street (start from Deak square, look around the arcades and halls of Gozsdu udvar and go towards the Grand Boulevard), or Raday street where not only restaurants and cafes are mushrooming but tiny design boutiques too.
(Dunakorzó) extends between the Elizabeth Bridge and the Chain Bridge in Pest along the banks of the Danube. This location was always popular for promenading, especially in the 19th century. Back then the Promenade was home to several famous hotels such as the Ritz, the Bristol and the Carlton. Their cafés, overlooking the Danube and the Buda Castle were immensely popular. These days a new row of luxury hotels attempts to recreate the pre-war ambiance.
