This family run restaurant is a 7 minute drive from the cottage and offers lunches/dinners and baked goods. They also have a section for some essentials like milk, eggs, cheese etc.
They make the best Blueberry Pie we have ever tasted. You must order in advance 613-334-5330 / 4003 Hwy 620/ Head to the end of Moffat Rd and turn right, past the beach and then 5 minutes drive on your right.

The Gut Conservation Area is a 400-acre site located a 10 minute drive from the cottage This Conservation Area features a parking lot, walking trails, a look out area and a stairway down to the gorge. The “Gut” is a large gorge that the Crowe River flows through for about 230 meters. The fissure that forms the gorge is over 30 meters high and varies from five to ten meters in width. The gorge presents a breath-taking glimpse of this unique terrain.

Climb atop the Eagle’s Nest Bancroft for a breath-taking view of the York River Valley. Located above down town Bancroft, off Hastings Street North, it’s not something you’ll want to miss. Check out some photos!
The cliff was named the Eagle’s Nest by Bancroft’s early citizens, due to the fact that there was a nest belonging to a pair of Eagles in one of the pine trees near the edge. The Eagles departed long ago, but the name remains.
