Beautiful sandy beach where ''SavingPrivate Ryan" opening scenes were filmed. Stunning! Extends to Curracloe Beach with surf school & White Gap with beautiful forrest walk which leads back onto beach. Curracloe & Ballinesker effectively all the one beach with approximately an hour & a half's walk on beautiful sand.

Beautiful sandy beach where ''SavingPrivate Ryan" opening scenes were filmed. Stunning! Extends to Curracloe Beach with surf school & White Gap with beautiful forrest walk which leads back onto beach. Curracloe & Ballinesker effectively all the one beach with approximately an hour & a half's walk on beautiful sand.
Great place to visit for a day trip & beautiful drive down on a sunny day via the Duncannon Line drive & take the Passage East car ferry across the estuary. Super little trip we have done numerous times with the kids & worth a stop off at The Spinnaker Pub & Restaurant in Dunmore East before making the trip back home. Journey takes approximately an hour & a half. Dunmore East is a pretty little village with bathing facilities, beaches & plenty to do.

Great place to visit for a day trip & beautiful drive down on a sunny day via the Duncannon Line drive & take the Passage East car ferry across the estuary. Super little trip we have done numerous times with the kids & worth a stop off at The Spinnaker Pub & Restaurant in Dunmore East before making the trip back home. Journey takes approximately an hour & a half. Dunmore East is a pretty little village with bathing facilities, beaches & plenty to do.
Great beach to visit for a walk & stop over before heading to the Local Pub in Dunbrody House for casual food or else try Roches Bar & Restaurant which also does superb pub grub & welcomes families.

The Battle of Oulart Hill took place on the 27th of May 1798 when a rebel gathering of between 4,000 & 5,000 annihilated a detachment of 110 militia sent from Wexford Town to stamp out the spreading rebellion in County Wexford.
A memorial has been built with an inner walkway through with chamber & fabulous views 360 degrees of the area. Stunning & worth a visit. A 30 minute walk from the cottage on quiet roads.
