While building the Village Inn & Pub, the owners restored the 1930 beach cottage and designed the Inn around it to integrate the architecture of the neighborhood and the facade of the cottage. The Inn was built around the existing giant live oaks that inhabit the Island and not one limb was removed or destroyed!

The Pub opens daily at 5:00 P.M. and cater to the local patrons and travelers as well. Happy Hour is from 5-7 P.M. daily. The Pub also has trivia on Wednesdays and live music Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

Nashville hot chicken is said to have been invented by an angry wife who dumped a ton of cayenne into a flour bowl, dipped some chicken in it, then fried it for the wayward hubs to, shall we say, light a little fire under his you-know-what. Thing was, he liked it.
Which goes to show that a) cheating is bad and b) hot chicken is delicious.
