The Road Runner deluxe pizza is a neighbourhood favourite. If you phone there to order your pizza, wait 10 minutes and start walking across the schoolyard in front of the main house, you’ll get there in time to pick up your pizza. It’s about a five minute walk.

Nature trails

This a nice place for a walk or a bike ride. You can cross the river into Hawrylak Park. You will see families, cyclists, and dogs off leash.

If you cross the foot bridge directly south of Tiny Vinatarta, and walk through Patricia Heights school ground, you can enter the ravine and River Valley walking path system. This can get you to Fort Edmonton Park, if you are up for a 70 minute one way hike.

Shopping and recreation
Basically the only place in Edmonton that fits this category is the West Edmonton Mall.
While the West Edmonton Mall is not an eco-friendly boutique…
it is a 20 minute walk from the tiny home. When restrictions are open enough, you can see a movie, swim in a wave pool, take in the indoor amusement park, and enjoy waterslides. You can even get a tattoo! There is a piano bar and other interesting nightlife. There are many family restaurants.

Our neighbourhood is called Elmwood. The adjacent Neighbourhood is Lynnwood. There are lots of interesting people who live here. And interesting people make interesting things. Here are two of my faves. One, Nathan Ross, local indigenous artist, has adorned his home with a mural. Two, the yellow dot in the map, an Elmwood resident has built something quite unexpected in the back alley!
Or you could walk for a massage at at least two locations within our neighborhood.
