There are many trails to hike here. My favorites are walking around Lake Minnewaska (upper parking lot), and Awosting Falls (lower parking lot). Note that there's a per car fee, but if you have an Empire State Park pass it's no charge. Arrive early in peak seasons, as parking is somewhat limited.

Simply beautiful with winding trails and ample wildlife in the middle of New Paltz and along the Wallkill River. Very quiet and secluded. Mostly locals here, and you won't run into many of them!

I’ve been here several times and have always enjoyed the food. Ordering is odd as you have to order your dinner at the bar, but then they serve it to you. The upstairs decors is quirky and cool. Outdoor seating available.

City/town information
It's only a few blocks long, but it's very quaint and close to us. Worth a drive up. You can eat at the Rosendale Cafe and walk the Tressle Bridge, which truthfully, I prefer over the Walkway over the Hudson.
