This 666-acre park is a north county gem. Dubois has always been a popular place for the littles, as it offers a protected lagoon, play structures, and plenty of picnic areas with grills, restrooms and showers. Dubois offers 1,200' of intracoastal access with day use boat slips, and a snorkeling lagoon for the bigs. A word of caution - the DuBois lagoon area is known to be closed occasionally (after heavy use) due to a high bacteria count as the lagoon doesn't fully 'flush' out :-(

This unassuming hole-in-the-wall Latin market right down the street from the townhouse is home to one of the best burritos around. Their lightly battered fried shrimp is another favorite of mine. Great "takeout" spot for authentic latin food, e.g., barbacoa and carnitas.
