Our Neighbourhood
Karaka is a countryside gem close to the city CBD and international airport and yet far enough away to have fresh air, gorgeous night skies, sunrises and sunsets.
A little rural community located close to the city and services while still feeling like being in the countryside. Walk to the top of Clark Road and take in the view of the Manukau Harbour and across to the airport. Traditionally this was a dairy farming neighbourhood, however, over the last decade the dairy farms have been sold and the land use has changed to either equestrian, beef farming or horticulture. From the top of Clark Road you can see the kiwi fruit orchard that is now on Elletts Beach, an ex dairy farm.
