Quaint market town voted the best place to live in 2018, Skipton is well worth a visit. Walk the path through the woodland round Skipton Castle built in 1090 or take a canal barge tour. Plenty of independent shops and cafes to keep you busy all day.

J.R Tolkien spent many years visiting Stonyhurst College in Hurst Green. He took much inspiration for his books from walks local to the guest house where he stayed visiting his son at the college. A walk in his memory has been created around the village taking in spectacular views of the hills and valley following the river and woodland.
