This place is super popular and you definitely want to call and make a reservation ahead of because they get packed quick! Really delicious breakfasts and right by the Coastal Trail so grab some breakfast here and then go for a nice stroll along the coast!

Beautiful little park overlooking the Lagoon. Also along the Coastal Trail. There are lots of ducks and various birds in the lagoon and there is a playground for the kiddos. If you come in the Spring/Fall months, the sunset is stunning here.

Come here for some good skiiing/snowboarding/tubing. The drive up the mountain is pretty fun in itself with its curvy roads and scenic route. Make sure you have an AWD/4WD car though when coming in the winter! In the summer I believe you can do some mounta biking up here.

In July/August, the fields are full of blueberries and this is an amazing spot to go off the trail, sit in the blueberry patch and have some lunch while looking over the mountains and Anchorage down below. A little bit further down the road is the beginning of an 8-10 mile easy loop hike that takes you to a beautiful lake! That's a wonderful hike with dogs and kiddos.
Once you start making your way South, there is an abundant number of hikes and trails along Highway 1. Beluga Point promises views of Belugas if you come at the right time. Even if you don't see them, the views are already worth coming.

I love Alyeska Resort during every season. Come here in the summertime, spring or Fall and hike up to the bar on top of the mountain. Don't want to hike (it's a pretty difficult hike so you'll definitely earn your beer)??? No problem! Take the air tram up there. You should take the tram up at least once anyways for the absolutely incredible views. Amazing skiiing/snowboarding/tubing in the winter time. And if you don't want to do any of that, the spa and giant pool itself is worth the getaway.

The conservation center takes orphaned or injured animals and gives them a home. Most of them would not survive in the wild which is why this is a much better place to come visit than the zoo. Check the schedule on line before you come to plan for the bear feeding.
If you're in Seward, definitely come to the SeaLife Center. It's so much fun for both adults and kids.

I recommend coming here during the chillier months. It's a lot of fun to sit in the hot water in freezing temperatures while watching your hair freeze. There is also other things to do here like snowmachining and an ice museum with a bar inside.

On your way here from Anchorage (about hour drive), plan to stop by all the attractions along Route 1 South on your way.
