Beautiful food with great staff, lovely decor. Large outdoor garden bar with live music in summer. Enjoy a glass of your favorite, sample some cocktails or try their special coffees under the large avocado tree. Warren can’t go past their rib eye steak when we go there - served properly (as he says) with chips, eggs and a sauce of your choosing (still can’t decide which is best - jus, Bernaise or peppercorn)

Amazing restaurant must see. Located on (not by or across the road- on) waihi beach. A real icon which underwent major renovations a few years ago - by my boss at Freestyle Architecture!!
Walk the beach and enjoy a coffee on a lounger outside. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner - all served up with beautiful views over waihi beach our to Mayor Island and beyond. Say hi to Andy their owner for us.

Fun fact - this used to be a cheese factory. Great local pub and a beautiful old building. Their pizzas are amazing. Very interesting dolls collection on display.

Why wouldn’t I recommend this piece of paradise. Walk or sit and relax. Take your surf caster down to Bowentown for a spot of fishing. Enjoy the views of the whole beach and down the inner Harbor down to the mount from Pio Shores. My favorites grabbing fish and chips or pizza and enjoying them from the lookout.
The main end of the beach is a surfers favorite. Enjoy the trig walk or trek over to Orakawa bay - take a picnic you don’t want to rush this place.
Waihi beach Village has everything from gourmet foods, great pubs, live music and great shopping. There’s also a local bike hire and great cycle trails.
Enjoy a spa day starting at Soul, with a spot of shopping. I’d find that hard to decide on that or going fishing - bring your boat and head out to the Mayor for the day.
