Great place for good food with a large collection of wine by the glass. Taste 400 from all over Chile. It's closer to a tapas bar than it is to a full-fledged restaurant. As it's getting quite popular I recommend you to reserve, but they keep one small section open non-reserved so you can also be lucky.

Not too many people know this place and I really like it. It has a beautiful decoration, good food and a nice ambiance for a reasonable price. Highly recommended if you are going to Barrio Italia.

High quality fast food. The sausages are homemade and you can find from turky to vegan. If you want something quick but good, this won't disappoint you and it's just around the corner.

Very nice hill from where you can see all of Santiago. You can access from "Pio Nono" Street in Barrio Bellavista and go up either by cableway or funicular!!!

If you are going to museo de la memoria, don't forget to visit the Parque Quinta Normal. My favorite park!
Note: could be a little dangerous in the evening. Don't leave after 6pm and you won't have any problems :) !

If you like street markets, you will love la Vega Central. It's really authentic and very popular. You can find typical chilean food but also Peruvian, Brazilian, etc..

Be careful with your stuff at all times though, and don't bring expensive cameras, etc.. only a lot of hunger!

This is where the city was found on 12 of February of 1541, and I can't believe it's 2 minutes walking from my apartment. The place is very beautiful and you can see a lot from the top. It's hard to describe what it is. Like half a castle, half a park, I would say. Should be the first thing you do when you leave the flat for the first time!.

Very popular and famous neighborhood for drinking and partying. Good if you want to know what Chilean night life is like, also has some pretty good restaurants. I recommend you to move around "Calle Constitución" and have a look at "Patio Bellavista".

Personally I find the "Palacio de Tribunales de Justica" far more beautiful than the popular "Palacio la Moneda". It isn't a tripadvisor top ten, but it definitely worth passing by if you go to Plaza de Armas.
