The Knot Pub is where a person would go on their birthday for a few and some chips. They have THE BEST fries. The food is very reasonably priced and the lines are clean. Pretty good selection of beers too. Top shelf! (Also, the will let you steal a Knot pint glass if you ask but don’t tell them I told you).

The best tomato soup I have ever had in my life. Soups, salads, sandwiches, thin crust pizza make up most of the menu here. There is a brunch and there are line-ups always. It’s one of those places. If you’re into waiting, it’s so worth it. They have a patio on the back of the building that has a limited view of the harbour. It’s very nice at night. Sylvie and Martine own The Salt Shaker, The Fish Shack, The Half Shell and Beach Pea. They are pretty much the most epic, cool, influencer type of couple you will ever meet. Sylvie does all the décor for the restaurants and runs the show. She has amazing style and a keen eye for detail. Martine is the chef behind every menu. Lunenburg restro royalty!

This restro is completely out of doors so it won’t be open if it’s raining. Menu is a bit pricier but so, so worth it. Treat yourself!

The Banker as locals call it is an awesome spot for a slightly more upscale meal, beverage experience but without any pretention. This is a great place for steamy bowl of chowder on a rainy day. They have a large assortment of micro brews on tap and boast their own brewing company – Shipwright – located upstairs. Owned by a husband and wife duo, The Banker often has live music and is where people who work in the bars and restaurants in town go after their shift for a drink and a wind down.

This is your best bet for a dirty breakfast and the view is insanely beautiful. Warning: It’s one of those restaurants with carpets on the floor and an older, kitchy, nautical décor. If you don’t mind bad coffee, but awesome eggs, this is your spot. Go sit by the window and order The Captain’s Breakfast. We dare you!

Shelley (the owner) is big into nutrition and using as many local ingredients as possible in her soups and salads. If you happen upon Shelley, ask her to introduce you to Eddie – her dog. He’s the best and most hilarious dog we have ever come across and will not disappoint.

There’s a great patio/garden area in the back that is so peaceful. I highly recommend. Sara owns and runs No 9. She’s an Aquarius (her birthday is one day after mine) and she loves tarot and magic rocks. FACT: She also was a prominent member in the super popular band Brand Van 3000. Ask her about her days in rock and roll and say hi from me!
