Sightseeing
San Diego beach towns/neighborhoods have their own piers. Each one is very different but one of my favorites is OB. It provides a good scene with lots of people watching and there are great restaurants nearby. This is an icon of San Diego.

This pier is away from the busy beach and near UCSD Campus. There's rarely anything going on here except surfers and people jogging or walking their dogs. This is a good spot to come and relax, it is my favorite secret sunset spot.
