This is a great local pub serving delicious food with fantastic Sunday roasts. Even if it is busy the service is prompt. The pub has recently been renovated so it is spacious, clean and good for disabled access.

This pub sits on the edge of Whitmoor Common and ideal for dog walkers and ramblers. There is a real community feel is this pub as locals gather around the bar for a pint and chat. Dogs very welcome.

Noel's Farm Shop is a short walk behind the house along the public footpath. Noel stocks all your basics in case you get stuck and has a range of gluten, dairy, wheat free products as well. During the summer the fresh fruit is some of the best around. He also stocks a great selection of cheeses, hams and entertaining nibbles.

Woking Park has a leisure center and swimming pool attached to it but the best thing about this park is the playground. Newly built with pirate ships, water play, big slides and zip wires this is a great afternoon out with the kids.

Alice Holt is a bit further afar but well worth the drive. There is so much to do in this Forest. The park boasts bike hire, Go Ape, 2 large timber playgrounds and a new cafe. Well worth a visit in the summer.

Dapdune Wharf is a National Trust property and well worth a visit if you wish to learn more about The River Wey and Guildford. During a short boat ride into Guildford the skipper will tell tales of the River and Navigations. During holiday periods there are also fun activities for the kids.

Hatchlands Park is another National Trust property great for long dog walks. A spot of afternoon tea in the classic English country house is also enjoyable.

Shere is one of Surrey's prettiest villages with charming buildings, shops and delicious places to eat. For upmarket go to The William Bray and for your local pub grub the White Horse. There is a very lovely stream but beware the ducks!
