Let's just say we've got connections. Like big time, save you a small fortune connections. Our friends the Panjabis (he's from India, she is from Dallas) own this unassuming but awesome jewelry store that I will tell you right up front is not the fanciest looking place on Main Street, but what they stock is top quality, from souvenir pendants to Tiffany-esque masterpieces. The guy does that thing with the wrinkled brow and the whizzing calculator fingers- and consistently beats every price on island... or tells you where to go to find what you are looking for if he can't. And that is rare in his business.

This is a family owned and operated, second generation grocery store run by our friends the Goldbergs, and when you are in there, you feel the connection to the community. They feed all of us who are health conscious (so truly freshest produce including locally grown, but also free range and hormone free, non-GMO, Kosher, better brand stuff) and in addition they provision the mega yachts, so if you are looking to splurge on French wine, tuna steaks and caviar this is the place on island to find them. Do a stock-up run on a rainy day, and they're open later than most. Oh- best salad bar on island, hands down. (Note: we do have warehouse type discount stores but buying in bulk means giving us all your leftovers!)

Sometimes we cannot believe our tiny island rates this great a theater. So no joke this may be the biggest entertainment bargain on island: Get two adults tickets and load up on nachos, hot dogs, sodas and "pop con" bags as big as your head, and I bet you can't spend $30. It's actually cheaper than the States! 1/2 price movies on Tuesdays... but Virgin Islanders are not early movie goers, so no matinees as all shows are mid afternoon or later. Same parking lot as Cost-U-Less (think CostCo) and Kokopelli's (our TGI Friday's equivalent) for planning purposes.
WARNING: Virgin Islanders talk constantly through all movies from previews to end credits so if there is a pristine viewing experience you are cherishing after much anticipation, wait to be back home to see it.
