The name of the new bazaar stems from the groceries marketplace. It is located east of the central boulevard, it forms part of the Old Town of Tirana and is one of the oldest areas of the city. The market offers a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables grown locally in the surrounding areas of Tirana, fish and meat, regional Albanian wine and raki. Its slopes are covered with pine, oak and beech woods, while inside there are canyons, waterfalls, caves, a lake and even an ancient castle.
The mountain is included in the Mount Dajt National Park.
