Sightseeing
You can't visit Saint Charles without taking a stroll downtown. Lots of shop and restaurants to choose from. It goes right over the Fox River.

Just an average community park walking distance from our home. There's a playground, picnic shelter, skate park, tennis court, basketball court, walking park, and a pond. In the winter, there's small hill for sledding. It's a good family place.

Tekakwitha is a beautiful and hilly 65 acre patch of woods bordering the Fox River, nicely tucked away from the main roads. This place is a favorite of Erik's. It's a lovely forest preserve walking distance from our home. You can hike through the forest full of maple and oak trees, and take a walking bridge across the Fox River. The views are amazing.

35W076 Villa Maria RdTekakwitha is a beautiful and hilly 65 acre patch of woods bordering the Fox River, nicely tucked away from the main roads. This place is a favorite of Erik's. It's a lovely forest preserve walking distance from our home. You can hike through the forest full of maple and oak trees, and take a walking bridge across the Fox River. The views are amazing.
We think Pottawatomie Park is an great place in St. Charles for both tourists and locals. Located along the Fox River, it offers paddle boat tours and small boat rentals. There is also an outdoor pool, 2 playgrounds, 2 picnic shelters, an outdoor workout area, a golf course, mini golf, and a snack stand. It's also home to the Pottawatomie Community Center. There is also an outdoor pool, 2 playgrounds, 2 picnic shelters, an outdoor workout area, a golf course, mini golf, and a snack stand. It's also home to the Pottawatomie Community Center. It's a small Christmas themed amusement park with many traditional carnival style rides. It first opened in 1959. It's got a lot of history, and is a popular attraction in the Chicago area.
Santa's Village is more marketed for smaller children, but older children and teens will still enjoy some of the bigger rides.....even I ride them! There is also a newer, small water park area. It's a great family attraction that I'm proud to work and, I totally recommend it.
