Greenwich Park is a 30-40 minute journey on the DLR from our apartment. The DLR is an overground train so you can see some of the city, including Canary Wharf - the financial district - on the way.
Greenwich Village has a lovely park with spectacular views over London and The Thames - a real photo opportunity!
You can visit the Cutty Sark, the meridian line, the Maritime Museum (which usually has several exhibitions, some for children), the covered food market as well as eat Fish & Chips or anything that takes your fancy.
It is well worth a 1/2 day and you can also take The Clipper, a catamaran, down to central London, stopping at Westminster Bridge - a quick and different way to get around.

Greenwich Park is a 30-40 minute journey on the DLR from our apartment. The DLR is an overground train so you can see some of the city, including Canary Wharf - the financial district - on the way.
