A guide to the Beaux Arts neighbourhood
There are a host of amazing restaurants, bars, cafés and artisan food shops... all on your doorstep. This guide details some of my favourite places to eat and shop in Beaux Arts that I recommend you visit during your stay. They are all places that I frequent often and rarely disappoint.
Chez Fabien opens from 8am to 8pm Monday - Saturday (with a short closure for siesta in the early afternoon...) This is a great shop for local, seasonal fruit and vegetables, eggs, local cheese/charcuterie options. Fabien is also very friendly - his is a local business I am always happy to spend money in :)

This bakery is 100% organic and has some of the best bread in town. The place is only open in the late afternoon / evening so feel free to stock up for that night and breakfast the next day. Bread is sold by weight - you can choose as much or as little from the various loaves on display and the servers will cut a piece off for you. They also sell very tasty orange and chocolate chip brioche and a few other sweet options. As everything is organic things don't last forever so buy a little, and come back the next day for more :)
O Pain Delicious

Richard, the owner, has to be one of the most passionate 'Patissier' I have met. He puts a lot of love (and butter...) in his baking and the results are incredible. I go religiously for croissant and pain au chocolat every Saturday and they really are some of the best available. His products are always home made (never frozen like many other patisserie) and range from viennoiserie to small cakes/desserts, macarons, slabs of chocolate... I really can't recommend this place enough. If you love it too, and are in town for long enough, ask about signing up for a cooking class, Richard offers small group lessons regularly throughout the year.

A really great 'brocante' selling vintage items. It also serves tea/coffee and lunches. Quirky and different from everything else around.

When I first came across this place I was completely blown away, a) by the quality of the cocktails and b) that it is located where it is! Just a couple of minutes walk up the street from the apartment this place has the best cocktails in town. The interior has a strong Asian influence (you can order Dim Sum with your cocktail which are incredible) - it is super stylish and perfect for a special night out. Cocktails come at a premium (€15 or so) but are worth it.

One of my favourite spots on the Place des Beaux Arts - a simple bistro bar selling coffee, beers, wines and a few tapas options (evening) . They also have a simple lunch menu with plenty of tables outside for when the sun shines (all the time...)

Excellent selection of wines and great advice for when you are a bit lost. I have never been disappointed by anything I have bought here.

Really great burgers and fries! Open (reasonably) late and you can often eat on one of the small tables outside.
