Sightseeing
The Castle was one of the first buildings set on one of the 7 volcanoes that make up Edinburgh. It has been in existence as a Royal Castle since the 12th century, and houses Scotland's' Crown Jewels. Its canon 'Mons Meg' is fired daily at 1 o'clock. This is a the centre piece of Edinburgh's historic old town. This is situated at the very top of the Royal Mile with Holyrood Palace being at the bottom.
