Parks & Nature

This plantation has a main fire track you can complete in an hour or so, depending on pace, but also lots of side tracks which are mainly for mountain bike riding but can also be walked, there has been a lot of work done to make the plantation more interesting and interactive with a children's playground and cycle track, new trails, an area around the lake with information boards and picnic benches.

Arboretum, lovely for a pleasant stroll though trees and shrubs, with a small lake, next to Tynwald hill, site of the annual open air meeting of the Island's parliament on 5 July, the hill is thought to date back to 13 century. Also, enjoy a very tasty and reasonably priced lunch or just tea and cake at Greens, opposite Tynwald hill.

Great walk from Bradda Glen all the way up to Milner's tower. You can then turn back or choose to follow the coastal Raad ny Follian footpath to Fleshwick, a small beach, there is a footpath that returns to Port Erin via Surby.
