Despite this being a small town's market, the options available are quite impressive. As a home cook myself, I am continually pleasantly surprised to find everything I need for unique recipes. They have a great butcher where you could purchase Montana meats to then grill at home. They also sell a wide variety of beer and wine, should that be of interest.

Sightseeing
They are a fabulous company whose office is based out of one of the best shopping stores in town. The guides are fun and they use a zip line to send their boats to the river. What does that mean for you? You don't have to carry it! Win!

Definitely pack/dress in layers
No matter the time of year, the mornings, evenings and shadows are cooler than the middle of the day or bold sun. Bring layers! Also remember that the temperature changes with elevation and it's usually about a 10 degree difference between the town of Gardiner and Mammoth.
