La Troja is the most traditional and iconic place in Barranquilla for dancing Salsa. It is full of tourists. A very recommended place to drink a Cerveza Aguila and dance all night; if you don't dance, don't worry, you will learn.
Spoiler alert: you can find there people from every corner of the city, but the place is very secure.

La Troja Patrimonio Cultural y Musical
72- 263 Carrera 44La Troja is the most traditional and iconic place in Barranquilla for dancing Salsa. It is full of tourists. A very recommended place to drink a Cerveza Aguila and dance all night; if you don't dance, don't worry, you will learn.
Spoiler alert: you can find there people from every corner of the city, but the place is very secure.
It is one of those place to remember. Almost every-time they have live music. Their specialty, Salsa. The food is delicious and the place is extremely secure. Is not a place to meet people, so is better if you go with a companion.

It is the closest natural park to Barranquilla. It is really nice. You should use for sure repellent. The travel is like 40 - 50 min round trip and it is necessary to have a vehicle or take a bus. Inside the park you can take like 50 minutes, 1 hour and a half if you eat there. There is no second language in the park (only for signals).

You don't need to pay for a room, there you can make a tent and rest for 5 USD. The food is really nice and the place, in seasons, is full of tourists.

If you have luck you will find frogs, jaguars, pumas, zainos, monkeys and other animals in a diverse ecosystem. Don't forget your repellent, and schedule for at last 3 days 2 nights over there. You don't need to pay for a room, there you can make a tent and rest for 5 USD. The food is really nice and the place, in seasons, is full of tourists.
