For a small town, we have the best gourmet grocery store anywhere. Everything is good and the staff loves to help with wine and food tips. It has incredible sushi to go! For every day needs, there's also a huge Safeway in town (and hint: probably the best Safeway wine selection in the country).

For every day needs, there's also a huge Safeway in town (and hint: probably the best Safeway wine selection in the country).
You will never find a bigger or better wine selection at a grocery store than the one at the Safeway in St. Helena. Look for the brands running out: the people who know wine are buying them when they spot a great deal.

This is a beautiful small restaurant that is always crazy delicious. The food is Northern Italian: pillowy gnocchi, heavenly eggplant parmesan, divine short rib and (often) trout, and the "Mundae" desert that must be tried at least once!

This is a beautiful, small Nepalese restaurant with the only real spice and heat in St. Helena! Tandoori veggies. Amazing. (I'm sure the chicken, fish, etc. are good too...but the veggies!).

This is a small Mexican grocery store with an amazing to-go food counter for authentic tacos, chile relleno, burritos, etc. Delicious and such a sweet place.
