You can go see the northern beach of Laboe and enjoy the view from its 68m tall Navy-memorial (5€) by taking the ferry F1 from Bahnhofsbrücke or other locations.
It's an hour-long zig zag ride (€4 one way) with nice views over the city. Just make sure to plan ahead your trip back (last ferry to city leaves at 20:40pm)!
