The Visitor Center is open daily, year round, for guided tours from 10am- 5pm, with free special events throughout the year including favorites like the Travelogue Series, Antique Car Show, Wildlife Festival, Halloween Haunted Tents, Zombie Run, Haunted History Tour, Festival of Trees and much more.

John Lansing, who represented New York as a delegate to the Constitutional Convention in 1787 and the state's Ratification Convention in 1788, had the house built for his daughter and son-in-law in 1819.
Lansing Manor is filled with authentic furnishings and priceless antiques from the first half of the 19th century and contains 10 large rooms on two floors, plus a below-ground kitchen and other utility rooms and is a classic example of Federal period architecture. The Manor is an admission-free museum and is open daily from May through October for guided tours from 10am- 5pm. The Manor is closed Tuesdays.

An enormous outdoor sculpture park and indoor museum with world-class artists showing. It's incredible and the perfect way to spend a day. Its an hours drive from the house but there is plenty to do. You can go through Oak Hill on the way, or stop in the Irish town of Durham or eat at Gracies in Leeds. You drive through Hudson so you can always stop there on the way to or from OMI and antique, shop, or eat a nice meal. It's a little far for a usual excursion but totally worth it.

Its an hours drive from the house but there is plenty to do. You can go through Oak Hill on the way, or stop in the Irish town of Durham or eat at Gracies in Leeds. You drive through Hudson so you can always stop there on the way to or from OMI and antique, shop, or eat a nice meal. It's a little far for a usual excursion but totally worth it.
Our favorite local hike, easy trail but dotted with some tough sections and an incredible view. Best of all there's an ice cream shop at the end of the trail.
