Food Scene

Cool restaurant and small bar, with east/west fusion food. Hidden entrance makes it quite fun, and the owner is often around (he's the loud one). Also closes relatively late, if you're looking for a drink to end your night. $$$ relatively expensive

This is a traditional Cha Chaan Teng or Tea Restaurant. It serves amazing noodles for breakfast at silly cheap prices. TIP: If you can't read Chinese just choose a letter between A to E and you will get some noodles and a milk tea/coffee. Look out for the orange hoarding with red Chinese lettering and people sitting almost in the street eating noodles. NOTE: It may not be 'Heritage Tea House', as the cafe name is only in Chinese. $ silly cheap

Not really a bar, but a bottle shop that serves draft or bottled beer. You can take away your purchase, or sip inside or outside on the lively Peel Street. A pleasant and cheap starting point for Soho. $ cheap craft beer

Parks & Nature

Mini park, but great by Hong Kong standards. Sit and relax in the middle of the city, whilst watching terrapins and fish. NOTE: Some homeless people sleep in the park, but they are never an issue. FREE

Sightseeing

Victoria Peak is the quintessential viewpoint of Hong Kong, but there are many ways to get there. One way is to 'hike' the Old Peak Road. Simply find your way (GPS recommended) from the top of Mid-Levels Escalator, and once your on Old Peak Road you will get to the back entrance of Victoria Peak. It is an easy, though steep, road that takes between 45 minutes to 1 hour to get to the top. Old Peak Road was the original way that the Colonial British Governor of Hong Kong would get to his summer residence at the top of Victoria Peak, being carried in a sedan chair. These days there's a annual sedan chair race up the same road. FREE
