This is one of our favourite restaurants to go to. Food is fabulous - sophisticated Asian, jazz music every night, overlooks the Thames, and is 5 minutes walk away so no need for taxis. Can though be pricey depending on your budget.

The Shard had spectacular panoramic views over London. We recommend going up to 30th floor (or thereabouts) and having drinks and/or food and enjoy the view in comfort and style. Make sure you have proper footwear as you may be turned away

Another restaurant we've been to a few times and enjoyed - very nice Peruvian food and not too expensive. It''s not far from Oxford Circus and you can get to it very easily on bakerloo line from Lambeth North
