Two minutes walk from the apartment is Reykjavík´s oldest and the newest and certainly the most beautiful geothermal swimming pool in the city. It is an architectural landmark. The outdoor area opened in late 2017.
A trip to the swimming pool is the community activity of choice for the Reykjavik local crowd. Every neighborhood has its own swimming pool that is heated up for comfortable swimming temperature and couple of hot tubs and a sauna for sitting together and catching up with the local current affairs.

Just few minutes walk from the apartment is a brand new farmers and street food market Hlemmur. Here, 10 ambitious vendors provide a sample of the best food Iceland has to offer. It used to be the main city bus station. The locals are very happy with the market which is one of its kind in Reykjavik.

Sightseeing
Hallgrimskirkja church is 5 min walk from the apartment. You will see the tower and the church is build at the top of the hill. From the apartment shortest is to walk up Baronsstigur and then you will be at the back of the church in couple of minutes.
PRICE for the tower: Adults ISK 1000 and children ISK 100. Tickets sold in church shop.

Hallgrimskirkja church is 5 min walk from the apartment. You will see the tower and the church is build at the top of the hill. From the apartment shortest is to walk up Baronsstigur and then you will be at the back of the church in couple of minutes.
PRICE for the tower: Adults ISK 1000 and children ISK 100. Tickets sold in church shop.

Hint. If you walk all the way down to Grandagardur, behind the Maritime museum you will hit an artisan ice cream shop favored by the locals. It offers flavors that very much cater to Nordic taste buds.
