Kalofer offers a lot of magnificent places to visit in the mountain that is part of the Central Balkan Reserve
The highest peak in the Balkan Mountains (2376 m). It is a popular route for mountain hikers and enthusiasts who go to climb it from Kalofer. Usually it takes two days for reaching it and returning back to the town with a night sleep in Rai Hut ("Хижа Рай") which is next to the Raisko Praskalo Waterfall. Some experienced hikers can do the return on the same day if they head to the peak very early in the morning. There are two routes for reaching it - a summer and a winter path. You will experience magnificent views all the way but be prepaid for the trip. Also have in mind that the weather can change very abruptly.

Because of its specific geological and climatic conditions, the area is rich in endemic species and rare plants. One could take several days to cross Djendema.

Over the years, it has established itself as a key center for preserving the literary traces left by Ivan Vazov in our national culture. There are four objects in the structure of the Museum: Ivan Vazov House Museum, Girls' School, Ethnographic Center "Sopotski", Dyado-Stoyanova Vodenitsa. The museum maintains attractive educational programs, develops scientific projects, enriches and develops its expositions and is actively present in the public space.

Many Bulgarian and foreign tourists visit the complex during the rose picking period in May and June.
