Fantastic indoor and outdoor spaces. Indoors sit by a crackling fire or in the cosy nook of the library. Outside sit in a great green lawn by a pond with beautiful pet turkeys roaming about and an 'alice in wonderland' huge lawn chess board. Great food, drinks and a discounted menu till 5pm. Serves food all day.

In medieval times, the abbey became rich through fishing and trading in sheep wool, went through many turbulent periods till it was rebuilt in 19th centre. Recently restored, it's a must visit.

The Abbey is impressive in itself, and it's set in well tended gardens by the river. The souvenir shop also sells the Abbey wine, a bit strong for my liking, but an experience to have for sure!
