This is a hike about a mile long, slightly uphill to get into the falls area, then downhill coming out. Well worth the hike, take some water and watch for other smaller falls in the mount around the falls.
To the South of the Falls, along the road, there is an outdoors Mining museum you can walk through.

Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort
4550 US-89Located on the highway 89 north of Circleville and South of Richfield.
Highway 12 is Utah's scenic highway. It starts just outside of Panguitch, where the road heads for Bryce Canyon National Park. The road winds through Bryce Valley and the Pink Cliffs; then on to Escalante. Just past Escalante there is a road to Hole in the Rock; which is a long drive, but worth the visit. THen the road goes on to Boulder, past the Kiva Koffeehouse, which serves Lunch during the summer over looking the Escalante RIver and the red canyon. Calf Creek campground is on up the road and is the head of the Calf Creek Falls trail. THis is a 5.7 mile hike and takes about 3 hours. 15 miles on up the road is Boulder Utah. In Boulder you can choose to take a side trip to the Burr Trail or go up the road to visit the Anasazi State Park. The drive continues over the Boulder Mountain and has many viewpoints that overlook the Grand Staircase monument and Capitol Reef National Park. The road ends at Torry and to the right, you can drive into Capitol Reef National Park or go West through Koosnarm and back to Junction
