This is a market style cluster of restaurants that are exquisite, many of which have received several culinary accolades. We recommend Cosecha (Mexican), the Farmer and the Hen, Miss Ollies. Also a great spot for wine tasting.

Lake Merritt is an iconic neighborhood in Oakland. If you love to take strolls, this is the perfect place to do it. Walk around the lake and do some people-watching. Hang out for a bit on Lakeshore and do some shopping. Or head over to Grand ave to catch a flick at the historic Grand Lake Theater and then walk on Grand Ave for a tasty meal and some light shopping.

Jack London Square is a place to hang out, eat, grab excellent coffee from Blue Bottle or Bicycle Coffee. It's beautiful and right at the water. There's a farmer's market on Sundays and the ferry to SF is also there.
