Himitsu recently landed itself on the "Best New Restaurants in America List 2017"! It was the only D.C. establishment included among the 12 best new restaurants Eater restaurant editor and roving critic Bill Addison was "most struck by while dining across America."

This is a vegan bakery but as a non-vegan myself, I LOVE their pastries. Their food in general is delicious, as are their "adult milkshakes." Highly recommend.

This relatively new bar/restaurant is a mere 2 blocks from our home and is a neighborhood favorite. It's a good spot for brunch with your family or dinner & drinks with friends. They have great beers on tap, a really solid food menu and very friendly staff. The atmosphere is slightly upscale chill, and in the summer, they have a large wrap around patio to sit out on! Chris and I are regulars there and we love it!

5501 14th St NWThis relatively new bar/restaurant is a mere 2 blocks from our home and is a neighborhood favorite. It's a good spot for brunch with your family or dinner & drinks with friends. They have great beers on tap, a really solid food menu and very friendly staff. The atmosphere is slightly upscale chill, and in the summer, they have a large wrap around patio to sit out on! Chris and I are regulars there and we love it!
Absolutely amazing pizza - and great beer. If you want pizza, this is the place to go.
