Food Scene
Run by a french sommelier and son of a Parisian michelin star chef. It is not cheap but it is so local and the food is SO good and original! Looking at £40pp for lunch and more in the evenings! Can book a table online.

Wonderful people and decor, moderately priced menu (£10-£18), decent service. What you pay for is fresh ingredients with authentic flavour - far better than your standard meal at the pizza chains. The vesuvius pizza is a real winner for Calzone lovers and the reason I'll be going back again and again over the coming months.

TV's Channel 5 chef Nancy Lam runs a cafe-style Indonesian restaurant with cheerfully decorated tables. It has been here over 30 years and she has some personality, that's for sure. £10-£15
