This is another GRADE A urban park in Houston. I would not recommend it over Buffalo Bayou Park, but I will say it was my "go-to" park when Bufffalo Bayou Park was being renovated.
Also, for the kids there are some nice fountains and even HOUSTON ZOO!

The Yards will be hosting the opening events preceding Super Bowl Sunday. Bruno Mars and Taylor Swift are both expected in concert. You can also get your live action physical game on with some of the rec activities planned here.
You could walk here (1.8 miles) via Sabine Pass to Sawyer Street, which will probably be a heck of a lot cheaper than Uber.
