Really popular cafe/restaurant. To be honest, it's so crowded that unless you can go during the week or REALLY early, I don't recommend it.
It's got animals there as well as great cafes. Kids love it.

Nice park nearby. Not great for really hot days as there isn't a heap of shade.
Can either walk or get the 370 bus from the otherside of McEvoy St.

I would recommend this over the more famous Bondi Beach. It's smaller, away from the crowds, and in my opinion much nicer.
If you can, do the 6km walk from Coogee to Bondi. It's beautiful. It follows the cliffs and provides great views. Get the 370 bus from McEvoy st to Coogee, then the 355 bus home.

If you can, do the 6km walk from Coogee to Bondi. It's beautiful. It follows the cliffs and provides great views. Get the 370 bus from McEvoy st to Coogee, then the 355 bus home.
Honestly, the best thing about Sydney is everything just outside of Sydney! If you can get out to the Blue Mountains for a day, DO! It's just gorgeous.
There are a million beautiful lookouts and trails to walk along, but I guess the most famous area at Katoomba is a great spot to start as it's very much set up for tourists and so you can get a lot done in one day.
It takes about 3 hours to get out there by train, or you can drive there in 2ish, traffic depending. (Hint: If you plan on driving anywhere in Sydney, either don't do it, or leave well before 7 to avoid terrible traffic).
If you're into the bush, let me know. I'm a keen bush walker and can recommend heaps of really good walks.

It's a 25 min walk (head up past Redfern station, hang a left and follow Wilson St), or else you can get the 309/310 bus up to the station and walk from there.
