The Dew Drop Inn name was inspired by the countless roadside Dew Drop Inn’s across America. It’s a classic name for a classic bar,.. Neighborhood bar, good food, great drinks and trivia night on Tuesdays! Great happy hours. Open 7 days a week. Housed in a rustic stone industrial building that used to be the workspace for stonemasons and metal workers; today it gives a great view of the CSX, Marc and DC metro tracks. It’s located at 2801 8 Street, NE in Edgewood, near Brookland. It’s right near an entrance to the MBT(bike trail) and the CSX train tracks, and around the corner from the Mess Hall.

One of the larger Starbucks in the area with PLENTY of seating, great ambiance (for a Starbucks), good service, and right across the street from my fave local wine shop, the Barnes & Noble and other restaurants. What's not to like if one wants a quick shot of java or chai etc etc latte and perhaps a nibble? And if you want to sit outside - whilst there is no patio seating, Brookland does have wrought iron benches to sit on under the trees to sip your beverage and watch people walk on by...

They run wine tastings too - some free others for $10 that's used towards buying a bottle of wine after the tasting if you want!

It's the metro. There's a walkway off the shopping center at the bottom of Bryant Street NE... 5 min brisk walk from the house and you could be catching the metro downtown!
