Each room of this extraordinary restaurant has been decorated over the many years it's been open and you'll feel like you are stepping back in time when you dine here.
This is one of our favorite local restaurants, a 20 minute walk or a short drive. The food is lovely and the ambiance is perfect.

From here, you can easily access the canal towpath which will take you for many miles through some of DCs best-kept secrets spots.
Rent a bicycle and you can go all the way to Bethesda along the tow-path.

If there is only one Memorial you visit while you're here, I cannot stress the importance of it being this one. You can walk to it from the house or rent a bike and get there very comfortably along the riverfront without the need to set foot into a motorized vehicle. This iconoic Memorial is incredible. Try getting up early one morning and visiting it at Sunrise. You'll be in for an amazing experience.
