Parks & Nature
Beautiful lake just 18 miles south of our house on Hwy 165. The drive down is beautiful and the trout fishing is always good. On the way you will pass Bishop's Castle, definitely a worthwhile stop. Just past Bishop's Castle is the Davenport Campground and the trail head for the Squirrel Creek Trail. This is a beautiful and easy trail that follows Squirrel Creek through a narrow canyon. Easy hike for all ages.

San Isabel Lake
Beautiful lake just 18 miles south of our house on Hwy 165. The drive down is beautiful and the trout fishing is always good. On the way you will pass Bishop's Castle, definitely a worthwhile stop. Just past Bishop's Castle is the Davenport Campground and the trail head for the Squirrel Creek Trail. This is a beautiful and easy trail that follows Squirrel Creek through a narrow canyon. Easy hike for all ages.

An immense stone castle built by one crazy guy over a period of 40 years. In fact he is still working on it. You are welcome to climb up and through his castle, just hang on to your kids! Some of the places you can climb to are quite scary!
