Located 5 miles south of the cabin, Menahga is a great place to run for small things. Here's our favorite swimming beach, organic grocery store, and gas/bait. Menahga is a wonderful small town. Don't miss the food! 5-7pm nightly at the Menahga VFW, everyone welcome! Check for their Bingo nights and meat raffles

A wonderful Coborn's grocery store, downtown main street shopping and movie theater, (You'll love the parking set up on main street!), candy stores and so much more. Park Rapids also has all the awesome shopping like the L&M Supply, log furniture stores, it's also the county seat so Park Rapids is a hub of all sorts of activities. Enjoy!

Sightseeing
A half hour north of the cabin, you'll be able to get into Itasca! This is where the headwaters of the Mississippi lies. Bring the bicycle if you like or rent one there, extensive bike trails throughout the park. Great place to spend time in nature!
