Not too far from Cleburne Nest due to a little-known shortcut road, and a fantastic zoo to take kids. It's not a giant walk-all-day event which can be quite nice when you're on holidays. Lots of free interaction with native and barnyard animals. Good value and a lovely quiet place to visit

Only a couple of minutes drive from Cleburne Nest, this is a lovely place for a walk. Walk around the dam, enjoy the peace, and have a BBQ if you want. There's public toilets here too.

A really lovely place to have lunch. It's a bit of a drive but feeding the salmon and trout while walking the grounds after having a selection of savoury and sweet crepes and local wines is a very relaxing, and little-known day trip. A good place to have lunch if you're planning to visit New Norfolk anyway.

You've probably heard all about Richmond by now, but it really is worth a visit. Don't miss the famous bridge and walk under it along the track. Simply beautiful. Finish with a trip to the candy/lolly shop and pig out for the rest of the afternoon.
