The newly restored Castle Garden promenade is very eye catching, being connected to Clark Adam square and the Chain bridge, the tunnel and the funicular railway that goes up to the castle.

There is a lot to see in the castle district, but the Bastion is probably the most famous one. Nonetheless, you can spend half a day just walking along the castle walls and forget that you're in a metropolis.

Try the mangalica sausages, paprika spice or real Transylvanian bacon. When you're finished go up to the cafeteria and eat with locals for a few EUR per meal.
