This is a museum dedicated to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.
I’m very partial to this since I work for the BRFD. The firehouse was built in the gothic architecture style in 1924, this historic building is on the National Historic Register. It houses artifacts including a 1923 & a 1926 American LaFrance pumper truck., a 1919 aerial truck, historic firefighting equipment,uniforms and many other articles of the history of firefighting in Baton Rouge. Open by appointment for individuals and tour groups (including school groups) or by rental for private events.
