Dinner Suggestions
Don’t be fooled by the location (we all know that usually places located on the main strip are always overpriced and overrated), this Italian restaurant has been run by the same family for decades and provides elite service and food. Prices are reasonable, but would highly suggest a booking as it’s always busy - deservedly so.
<2 min walk. Exit the apartment, turn right and walk 50m. Look to your left and there it is.

Costa D'Oro Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria

There are some very well known and very expensive Japanese restaurants on the Gold Coast. This is not one of them, but I think it’s the best of them all. I have eaten here 50+ times over the last decade and not once have I been disappointed. Very well priced, delicious, and topped off with a nice cozy ambience and decor.

SHINOBI Japanese Yakitori Restaurant
28 Orchid AveThere are some very well known and very expensive Japanese restaurants on the Gold Coast. This is not one of them, but I think it’s the best of them all. I have eaten here 50+ times over the last decade and not once have I been disappointed. Very well priced, delicious, and topped off with a nice cozy ambience and decor.

Really top quality breakfast items, lots of coffee options, and the very cool patio catches all the morning sun which is always good for creating that perfect breakfast ambience.

Despite falling outside my zone of under 5 min walking locations, I’d be remiss if I didn’t recommend ‘O Bagel’. This has only been open for 6 months, but oh my, they’re doing something special! The bagels are freshly baked onsite, and their options are genuinely mouth watering. Get there early though as they sell out.

It can get loud
The location really is in the very centre of Surfers Paradise, and as a result, it can get noisy on a Friday and Saturday night. For the sake of transparency, I would say that if you are a very light sleeper perhaps play some white noise on a speaker, or bring some ear plugs.
I would say only 1 in 20 guests have raised this issue, but most who book here are aware that it's not exactly a mountain retreat with zero nightly noise.
