Excellent bakery with amazing soups. You have to go early for the bakery items, but they have an amazing stromboli, a delicious coconut cream eclair and a whole bunch of other items that make this one of my favorite food spots.

Gorgeous spot for what is usually a delicious dinner. The view for your meal will be spectacular and everything on menu is exceptional. Make a reservation ahead of time as they book up.

This is a Kauai favorite but is unknown to tourists. They only take cash and are only open till 2 pm. They have daily specials ( hawaiian stew, chicken fried steak etc.) and their fries and the hawaiian bbq beef is extremely good. It is my go-to right off the plane!

postcards is really good food. This is a higher quality than your normal restaurant and definitely a higher level of cooking. Everything on menu is amazing and the service is outstanding. It is by reservation so book early

Another beautiful North Shore beach. The beach has beautiful scenery but you MUST watch and listen to the life guards. There is a serious under tow at this beach.

You need a car on Kauai. There are many things to see but you need to travel to see them and there is no good transportation.

follow the rules on bridges
Many of our bridges have local custom of waiting for 5 cars to go and then you go. The bridges are 1 lane only so we wait our turn and we do so with a smile! Please give Aloha spirit and respect the roads.

DO NOT STAND ON REEFS
The giant rocks that you are snorkeling around are not to be touched or stood on. These are living reefs. When you touch, stand or walk on them, you kill them. Hawaiian people love our oceans so please help us to keep them healthy and be careful as you enjoy them.

Stay away from turtles and Monk seals
Our turtles and monk seals are protected creatures. They come on our sands to rest after a hard night swimming. The law is that you stay 15 feet away and you do not touch these animals at all. When you see a turtle we know it is exciting, but they are exhausted and just want to come on shore and rest. If you give them space, they will come all the way out of the water and will usually stay for about 6 hours before moving on. there is a giant fine if you do touch these animals, so please help keep them safe and do not touch them.

If you want to book a snorkel trip during summer, I suggest you book ahead. They do book up early

Ke e Beach
You must book your reservation to Ke e 4 weeks before travel. You have to book yourself and your car. if you can only get a reservation for yourself, you can always book a shuttle but that too needs to booked ahead of time. This is a must see spot, but you must have a reservation to get into the beach. You have to book at midnight Hawaii time and it will book up immediately. ( within 1 minute). So it is difficult unless you want to take the shuttle in.
